Xiaoying Tang was born in Jianli, Jingzhou, Hubei in the winter of 1988. From 2005 to 2009, Dr. Tang did her undergraduate at Huazhong University of Science and Technology (Wuhan, Hubei, China), majoring in Automation and minoring in English. She then obtained her Master Degree from the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, another Master Degree from the Applied Mathematics and Statistics Department, and her Ph.D. from the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, all at the Johns Hopkins University (Baltimore, Maryland, USA) in 2014. From 2014 to 2015, she did her postdoctoral research training at the Center for Imaging Science at Johns Hopkins University.
