Prospective Students and Researchers

We welcome self-motivated, creative, brilliant, and hard-working researchers, with appropriate background, at all levels to join our lab at JIE. 

Postdoctoral Research Fellow

Qualifications:

-- Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering/Electrical and Computer Engineering/Applied Math and Statistics/Biostatistics

-- Research experience with medical image analysis/machine learning/statistical learning/manifold is preferable

-- Good communication and writing in English

 

Graduate Students

Graduate students joining the Joint Institute of Engineering will study at Carnegie Mellon University (USA) and Sun Yat-sen University (China) half by half. All graduates will receive OPT work authorization which provides the opportunity for employment in the United States after graduation. In many cases this leads to long term work opportunities in the United States or globally with leading employers.

Undergradaute Students

-- Undergraduate students at SYSU are welcome to participate routinely in research projects at our lab

-- Summer internship is available for undergraduate students from all other Universities
